Details

Have you ever wondered whether ecopsychology, landscapes, and environmental crises can translate into tactile, handwoven narratives?

Over the past three weeks, Toronto-based fibre artist and designer Michèle Guevara has made the CRI her creative studio, working with our TC2 Digital Jacquard Loom. Her work brings together digital design, raw materials, and environmental advocacy to transform complex ecological metrics and shifting landscape patterns into intricate textiles.

Come join us for a friendly artist talk and Q&A at the CRI! Michèle is excited to share her creative journey, discuss the fascinating intersection of craft and digital manufacturing, and show how modern makers use digital Jacquard technology to inspire meaningful conversations about our ecosystems.

All Community Members, Makers, and Students welcome!

Tea, coffee, and good conversation will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
