Revitalizing Space.
Our building is full of the rich history of our city. What is now the CRI once housed the Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill’s human resources building which, at one point, included medical offices. The building had been vacant for several years before it was renovated in 2022 with support from our funders and partners. CRI has been open since January of 2023.
Creating Place.
A core component of our building is the CRI Makerspace, which includes two distinct areas. The first floor features various wood- and metal-working tools, including a CNC Router, and a CNC Plasma Cutter. The second floor houses the Digital TC2 Loom, a Laser Cutter, a Vinyl Cutter, and several 3D printers, among other equipment.
The upper level of the building also hosts the Navigate Business Incubator space and our open concept Co-Working Space. Additional facilities include a small boardroom for private meetings, a soundproof podcast/radio recording room on the upper level, and training and learning spaces for Kruger and CNA on the lower level.

The Makerspace welcomes students, enthusiasts, and community members. The inclusive environment fosters collaboration and creativity across diverse groups. We welcome and support all voices and talents in our space! Read more on the Makerspace page and learn how to become a Member of the CRI community.
