Who can use the CRI?
The Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) is open to anyone! All are welcome, no matter your level of experience. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Do I have to be a student or teacher to access the CRI?
You do not have to be a student or teacher to access the CRI. The CRI is open to the Corner Brook community.
How old do I have to be to visit the CRI?
All ages are welcome, but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Can I borrow tools and equipment from the Innovation Centre (Makerspace)?
The Makerspace in our Innovation Centre has a wide variety of tools and equipment that must remain on premise. The CRI does not offer a tool library system to check-out tools and equipment. However, our facilities are fully-equipped for projects large and small. Let us know what you need to use our tools on site!
What kind of training do I need to use the equipment?
Additional training may be required to access some of our tools and equipment. Please speak to a manager to learn more about our required training and certification.
Is there a cost to become a member?
At this time, there is no cost to become a member.
